Aims & Scope
The European Journal of Veterinary Sciences (EJVS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research across all disciplines of veterinary science.
Mission
EJVS aims to advance veterinary knowledge by disseminating original research findings, comprehensive reviews, and clinically relevant case reports to a global audience of researchers, practitioners, and students.
Scope
The journal welcomes contributions in the following areas:
- Clinical Veterinary Medicine — small animal, equine, farm animal, and exotic animal medicine and surgery
- Veterinary Pathology — anatomic and clinical pathology, diagnostic pathology
- Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology — drug development, pharmacokinetics, toxicological studies
- Veterinary Microbiology & Parasitology — infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, parasitic diseases
- Veterinary Epidemiology & Public Health — disease surveillance, zoonoses, One Health approaches
- Animal Nutrition & Feed Science — nutritional requirements, feed safety, functional feeds
- Animal Welfare & Behavior — welfare assessment, behavioral studies, ethics
- Food Safety & Hygiene — food-borne pathogens, food inspection, quality control
- Veterinary Genetics & Reproduction — breeding, reproductive technologies, genomics
- Wildlife & Conservation Medicine — wildlife health, conservation biology
Article Types
EJVS publishes the following types of manuscripts:
- Original Research Articles — reporting novel findings from experimental or observational studies
- Review Articles — comprehensive, critical reviews of current topics (by invitation or proposal)
- Case Reports — clinically significant or unusual cases with educational value
- Short Communications — brief reports of preliminary or confirmatory findings
- Letters to the Editor — comments on recently published articles
Peer Review
All submitted manuscripts undergo rigorous double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. The editorial decision is made by the handling editor based on the reviewers' recommendations.
Publication Frequency
EJVS publishes four issues per year (quarterly), with continuous online publication of accepted articles.
